Situated along the Breede River, Malagas Hotel features an outdoor swimming pool, volleyball court and trampoline. It offers river cruises, and also has a paddleboat and canoes for rent.

It was built in the old style to give you that old world feeling of stepping back in time.

The rooms have wood-beamed ceilings, a TV and tea-and-coffee making facilities. Each en suite bathroom includes a hairdryer and shower.

The main building offers an enclosed patio, bar and lounge with satellite TV. The restaurant serves South African home-cooking and a full South African breakfast.

Hotel stay was fair but loads of fun in the area

Setting beautiful. Hotel old but clean.

Shared a geyser so had a cold shower first night. Breakfast on both morning was long as our order was messed up both mornings. Waited about 30/45 minutes for our breakfast. Waitress apologized! Di’s offer is a free drink on second morning mistakes!

Die Lage am Breede River ist absolut fantastisch, der rieige Garten lädt zum Verweilen ein. Das Essen war außerordentlich gut. Da nur ein paar Gäste anwesend waren, wurde statt des Buffets am Tisch serviert.

Das Zimmer war dunkel und ziemlich verwohnt. Das Bad war nicht ganz ordentlich geputzt.

La gentillesse de ce personnel qui est exemplaire malgré ces conditions

- matelas catastrophique - Couette qui est lourde - Draps rêches - Aucune isolation pour la lumière, il fait plein jour des le lever du soleil - aucune isolation phonique, on entendait la télé de la voisine comme si nous y étions - petits clous invisible dans le seuil de porte au niveau de la salle de bain qui m’ont ouvert le pied - horaires de repas non convenable : 7h 9h pour le petit déjeuner, 18h30-20h le soir (merci au personnel pour leur souplesse) - très bon cuisinier mais nourriture détestable - café cafetière filtre sans aucun goût (24R) - piscine trouble L’établissement aura été le pire de tout notre séjour et pourtant le plus cher, le rapport qualité prix est désastreux, cet hôtel est vétuste ainsi que le matériel, on sent que le propriétaire regarde le moindre centime et surveille son personnel pour le faire obéir au doigt et à l’œil. Le personnel a été adorable et ils font tout ce qu’ils peuvent avec ce qu’ils ont mais il mérite de travailler dans de bien meilleurs conditions.

„Gut zum De Hoop gelegen

Die Lage zum De Hoop war für uns perfekt. Das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Auch wenn das Essen nicht so unserem Geschmack entsprach, es war reichlich und für den Preis absolut okay

Das Essen war reichlich mit fünf Gängen, aber etwas geschmacklos. Unser Zimmer war recht dunkel. Aber you get what you pay for. Das muss man bedenken

l'hotel est plutôt charmant de l'extérieur

Tous. Propreté inexistante, odeur nauséabonde de la chambre et des draps. Diner immangeable avec diarrhée inclus. Eau de la SDB jaune. Personnel incompétent et antipathique. Ne demandez pas un café a 17h01 car il ne le serve que jusqu'à 17h (le bar ferme a 22h......) La route pour y accéder est cahoteux pendant plus de 30km).

„Gutes Hotel in toller Lage, idealer Ausgangspunkt für einen Besuch im De Hoop National Park

Das Hotel ist unserer Meinung nach unterbewertet und besser als in bisherigen Bewertungen. Die Lage ist toll und das für das Geld gebotene Abendessen und Frühstück war gut.

Unser Doppelzimmer war das kleinste Zimmer, hier hätten wir ein 3-Bett-Zimmer nehmen sollen, aber für 1 Nacht dann doch vollkommen ausreichend.

Sehr kalt im Winter. Angebot beim Frühstück gering. Anfahrt über Teerstraße sehr lange und nervig.

Sehr gut

Die Lage direkt am Fluss. Guter Ausgangspunkt um zum De Hoop Nationalpark zu kommen. Jeandré und Julia sind großartige Mitarbeiter.

Die Zimmer und das Restaurant alles ordentlich und sauber. An manchen Stellen könnte es allerdings sauberer sein. An vielen Stühlen im Außenbereich hingen Spinnenweben, ebenso am kleinen Spielplatz. Diese musste ich erst entfernen, bevor wir sie nutzen konnten. Die Hotelchefin und vor allem Jeandrė vom Empfang sowie Julia vom Restaurant waren sehr hilfsbereit, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Teilweise waren die Angestellten im Restaurant allerdings eher unfreundlich.

Praktische Lage für den Besuch den NP De Hoop Die Mietboote waren noch nicht bereit, dafür wurde eine Bootstour angeboten, Dankeschön.

Meine Frau muss sich Gluten free ernähren, darauf wurde Rücksicht genommen, aber leider diese Speisen Ersatzlos gestrichen; nicht fair bei Halbpension. Wir hatten die spezielle Ernährung angefragt und bestätigt erhalten.

« Ok pour avoir un toit au dessus de sa tête pour une nuit. »

Le personnel est très dévoué.

Aucun effort n’est fait sur les chambres. On entend les voisins parler, comme si on était avec eux. La qualité de l’eau de la douche et du lavabo est redoutable. On n’a pas l’impression d’être propre après la toilette. La nourriture est ok si on a très faim mais c’est l’équivalent d’une cantine scolaire…
